KPMG's multi-disciplinary Tax Transformation team combines accounting, tax and technology expertise with Lean Six process engineers to ensure they are able to address the specific needs and challenges of our clients. We can help tax leaders establish a clear tax vision and formulate effective tax operating models aligned to the overall business objectives of the wider organization. Through the considered use of these tax transformation processes and strategies, we can help transform your organization's tax function to deliver value, support the implementation of effective risk management controls, and provide benchmarks and key performance indicators that demonstrate success.

As part of the team, you will work shoulder-to-shoulder with businesses to help them design and implement their target operating model. By leveraging advanced tax automation and tax data technologies, KPMG helps our clients successfully navigate their tax transformation journey. From reviewing processes to resourcing and more, our experienced team of professionals takes a holistic view and uses a personalized approach to developing effective, right-sized solutions for our clients. KPMG Tax Transformation has an exciting opportunity for Business Analysts/Consultants to join our team full time in Spring 2023!

Please note that this is a full-time opportunity for recent graduates.

What you will do


  • Apply accounting/finance acumen and technology skillsets to solve client problems and assist with tax consulting deliverables
  • Assist with day-to-day delivery of tax transformation projects for clients, and supporting client deliverables using a variety of technologies and tools
  • Assist on client initiatives to identify opportunities to improve existing tax operating models, processes and tax technology
  • Work with our managers to understand client(s) existing processes and propose new solutions
  • Participate in collaboration/design sessions with the business, clients and our team
What you bring to the role


  • A keen interest in finance, accounting, tax, or similar business disciplines
  • A keen interest in computer science, technology, innovation and improving processes
  • Enjoys problem solving using business acumen and computer programming
  • Willingly takes on and learns new skills - although you may not know all the technologies and/or have tax experience, you're willing to learn quickly and apply it effectively.
  • Excels in a fast-paced environment - We're a client service firm and we take pride in what we do and how we do it in tight deadlines
  • Has a Team First Mentality - We're a tightly knit team that lean on each other and teach each other
  • Able to interact with co-workers, management and clients alike in a manner that is respectful and understanding
  • Demonstrates the ability to handle multiple priorities
  • Has strong time-management and self-motivation abilities, with a great sense of ownership
Keys to your success:
  • Recently completed a degree in an associated field such as Business Administration and Math/Computer Science Double Degree, Computing and Financial Management Degree, Management Engineering, or similar
  • Familiarity with any of the modern programming languages which could include, but is not limited to SQL, HTML & CSS, Python, Jscript, Java
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel VBA, Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Query), UiPath or other similar RPA products, SharePoint and/or Azure would be an asset
  • Your thought process on how you can see the whole picture and not just the one object to be coded
  • A growth mindset
